Terms of Service
Last updated September 23, 2026
Two agreements live on this page. The Terms of Service are for coaches and team administrators — whoever runs a team on AlignedFTW. The Family Terms are for a family member who signs in to manage their own player. Families who only receive messages and answer through a reply link accept neither; how their information is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.
This page is the same text the app asks you to accept. When a new version takes effect it is published here and you are asked to accept it the next time you open the app.
Terms of Service
Version 3 · Effective September 23, 2026
AlignedFTW is a team assistant for youth sports, operated by CodifyIQ. These terms are the agreement between you and CodifyIQ for your use of it. Please read them — accepting them is how you agree to be bound by them.
1. Who these terms are for
These terms apply to coaches and team administrators — anyone who runs a team on AlignedFTW. A family member who signs in to manage their own player accepts the separate Family Terms instead. Families who only receive messages and answer through a reply link accept nothing; their use is covered by the Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
2. Your account
You sign in with a Google or Apple account, or with a single-use code we email to an address you give us. You are responsible for keeping that account and that email address secure, and for everything done under them. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to either.
3. Your responsibility for the people you add
This section is the most important one in these terms, and the one we ask you to read carefully.
When you add someone's phone number or email address to a roster, you are asking us to send messages to a real person who did not sign up with us directly. By adding them, you confirm and warrant that you have that person's permission to contact them about team activity on the channel you have entered — and, where the law requires prior express consent for automated messages, that such consent has been given.
A number that came to you from a league, a registration form, or a prior season's roster is not by itself permission to text it. If you are not sure a family has agreed to be contacted, ask them before you add them.
This confirmation is not a formality. When you choose to text a number, we ask you to confirm you have permission to text it, and we record that you confirmed it and when — that record is our evidence that the people on your rosters agreed to be contacted. Do not confirm for a number you have not actually been given permission to text.
The first text a number receives from us names your team and says how to stop, so the person knows who is texting them and why.
If the number or address belongs to a player under 18, permission comes from that player's parent or guardian — never from the player. Minors cannot give binding consent, so a player's own say-so is not a basis we can rely on and not one you should rely on either.
You also agree to:
- Remove a contact promptly when they ask you to stop, or tell them how to stop.
- Keep roster information accurate, and correct it when a family tells you it is wrong.
- Use AlignedFTW to communicate about team activity — schedules, availability, logistics — and not to send marketing, solicitations, or unrelated messages.
Anyone can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.
4. Children
Teams on AlignedFTW are youth teams, so rosters carry information about minors. You agree to enter only what your team actually needs to run — a player's name, jersey number, and the contact details of the adults responsible for them — and not sensitive information such as health, medical, or disciplinary records.
We do not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to create an account.
Where you enter a player's date of birth, we hold you to the contact rules that protect them: a player under 13 is never one of their own contacts, and a player under 14 who is a contact always has a parent or guardian contact beside them. Every message about a player goes to all of that player's contacts, whatever their age, so messages involving a minor are never a private channel between an adult and a child.
Where you leave a date of birth blank there is no age for us to check, so by adding a contact you confirm that the player's age allows it under those same rules. Leaving the date out does not lift the rule; it moves the responsibility for it to you.
5. Automated processing
AlignedFTW uses automated systems, including AI language models, to read roster and schedule information you provide, to interpret replies from families, and to draft messages. These systems assist you; they do not decide anything on your behalf. Counts, statuses, and anything else your team acts on are computed by ordinary deterministic logic, and messages are sent on your instruction, not the model's. If you turn on automatic family reminders, you are instructing us to send them for you, on the schedule you accepted, until you turn them off.
Automated output can be wrong. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.
6. Availability of the service
We work to keep AlignedFTW running, but we do not guarantee it will be available without interruption, that a message will be delivered, or that it will arrive at a particular time. Delivery depends on mobile carriers, email providers, and other networks outside our control.
Do not rely on AlignedFTW alone for anything urgent or safety-related. A cancellation for weather, an injury, or any other time-critical message needs a channel you can confirm reached people.
7. Your content
Roster details, schedules, rules, and messages you enter remain yours. You grant us the permission we need to host, process, and transmit them in order to provide the service — nothing more. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use family contact information to advertise.
How we handle personal information, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted are set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use AlignedFTW to send unlawful, harassing, deceptive, or unsolicited commercial messages; to impersonate someone else; to access another team's information; or to interfere with, probe, or overload the service. Do not use it in a way that would put us or you in breach of messaging or privacy law.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using AlignedFTW at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms — particularly section 3, where the harm falls on families who never agreed to be contacted — or where we are required to do so.
10. Disclaimers and limits
AlignedFTW is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, CodifyIQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, and our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may publish a new version of these terms. When we do, you will be asked to accept it the next time you open the app, and we will tell you what changed. Continuing to use AlignedFTW after a new version takes effect requires accepting it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Family Terms
Version 3 · Effective September 23, 2026
AlignedFTW is a team assistant for youth sports, operated by CodifyIQ. Your player's coach uses it to keep the team's schedule and to reach the people responsible for each player. These terms are the agreement between you and CodifyIQ when you sign in to change your player's details or contacts. Accepting them is how you agree to be bound by them.
1. Who these terms are for
These terms apply to a family member who is one of a player's contacts and signs in to AlignedFTW to change that player's details or contacts. Reading your player's schedule doesn't require them.
You must be at least 18 years old to make changes. If you are a player under 18, ask your parent or guardian to make them.
2. Keeping your player's details accurate
The coach and the team rely on what you enter. When you enter or change a player's name, jersey number, or date of birth, you confirm that it is accurate.
A player's date of birth decides who may be their contact. A player under 13 is never their own contact, and a player under 14 who is their own contact always has a parent or guardian contact as well. Where no date of birth is entered, AlignedFTW has no age to check, so by adding or changing a contact you confirm that the player's age allows it under those rules.
3. Permission to contact the people you add
When you add someone's email address or phone number, you are asking us to send them messages about team activity. By adding them, you confirm that you have their permission to contact them on the channel you entered.
When you choose to text a phone number, we ask you to confirm permission to text it, and we record that you confirmed it and when. We ask again if the number changes. That record is our evidence of consent, so please make it only for a number you have actually been given permission to text. If the number belongs to a player under 18, that permission comes from you as their parent or guardian, never from the player. Minors cannot give binding consent.
The first text a number receives from us names the team and says how to stop. Anyone can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.
4. Children
Rosters on AlignedFTW carry information about minors. Enter only what the team needs: a player's name, jersey number, date of birth, and the contact details of the people responsible for them. Don't enter sensitive information such as health, medical, or disciplinary records.
Messages involving a minor are never a private channel between an adult and a child. An adult on the player's roster spot always receives what the player receives.
5. The coach's roster
Your player's roster spot belongs to the team. The coach can see and change what you enter, and can remove a contact, including you. Access to your player follows the roster: if you are removed as a contact, or your email address on the roster changes, you no longer see that player.
6. What the rest of the team sees
Being on a team means the team knows who is on it. Other families on your player's team see your player's name, jersey number and role, and whether they have said they can make it to a particular event. They do not see your player's date of birth, any contact's name, email address or phone number, or the note you leave with an answer — those go to the coach. You see the same about their players and no more.
7. Availability of the service
We work to keep AlignedFTW running, but we don't guarantee it will be available without interruption, or that a message will be delivered or arrive at a particular time.
Don't rely on AlignedFTW alone for anything urgent or safety-related.
8. Your information
How we handle personal information, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted are set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use family contact information to advertise.
9. Disclaimers and limits
AlignedFTW is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, CodifyIQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may publish a new version of these terms. When we do, you will be asked to accept it before your next change, and we will tell you what changed.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
